Payment Terms and Project Policies

Introduction

At Weblinear, we are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the unique needs of our clients. To ensure a smooth and transparent working relationship, we have established the following payment terms and project policies. These guidelines are designed to clarify expectations and responsibilities, helping us to deliver your projects efficiently and effectively.


Please review the terms below carefully before engaging in any project with us. By proceeding, you agree to the outlined conditions and acknowledge your understanding of these terms.


1. Third-Party Services

All project budgets provided by Weblinear are exclusive of costs related to any third-party services that may be required to achieve the desired project outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to, services such as Bulk SMS, product delivery systems (e.g., Shiprocket shipping charges), business email services, API service charges, plugins, themes, templates, and other similar expenses. These costs are the responsibility of the client and will be billed separately.


2. Maintenance Services

  • Weblinear-Hosted Projects: We offer 6 months of complimentary maintenance for projects hosted on Weblinear servers.

  • Self-Hosted Projects: For self-hosted projects, we provide 2 months of complimentary maintenance.

  • After the free maintenance period, any bug fixes will be chargeable. While we strive to deliver a 100% maintenance-free experience, we recommend clients renew their annual maintenance package during the last month of the free maintenance period. This renewal, available at a minimal cost, ensures continued technical assistance from our team. Maintenance packages do not cover feature modifications or new implementations.

    Clients who choose not to renew may opt for our “pay-as-it-arises” model, where service charges will apply only when technical issues occur.


    3. Payment Schedule

  • Initial Payment: To initiate the project, clients are required to pay 50% of the quoted budget. The remaining balance is due before final delivery, following project completion notification and the first inspection.

  • Milestone Payments: For projects with a budget exceeding INR 3 lakhs or USD 5,000, milestone-based payments can be arranged on mutually agreed dates, with the exception of hyper-delivery projects.


  • 4. Feature Modifications or Elimination

  • Feature Modifications: Features described or outlined in the Weblinear Analytics report will be considered the final Scope of Work (SOW). Any additional modifications or changes requested beyond this agreed-upon scope will be subject to additional charges.

  • Feature Elimination:In the case of contractual projects, once the project has started, clients cannot remove any features from the quoted deliverables and budget. Should you wish to eliminate features, this must be communicated prior to the project's initiation. After initiation, clients are liable to pay the full quoted budget regardless of any feature eliminations.


  • 5. Project Continuity and Pause Policy

    Once a project has commenced, development will proceed continuously without interruption. If you wish to pause the development at any point, you are required to provide a written notice at least one month in advance. This advance notice ensures that our team can adjust schedules accordingly without disrupting the overall project timeline.


    5. Delivery and Inspection

  • Delivery Notification:Upon project completion, Weblinear will notify the client of the delivery date. A 5-day buffer period will be provided for client-side inspection through meetings.

  • Delivery Acceptance:After the first inspection, clients are expected to accept delivery within 5 consecutive days. Any delay in accepting delivery will result in a corresponding delay in account clearance, which may incur an additional service charge at a rate of 35% per month.

  • Failed Delivery:If a client fails to accept delivery within 30 days of completion, it will be deemed a failed delivery. Re-initiation of the delivery process will require the client to pay the entire quoted budget, plus an additional service charge at a rate of 35% per month.


  • 6. Hosting and Renewal

    For Weblinear-hosted projects, domain, business email, and server renewals are required each service year at the prevailing cloud costs. Clients cannot discontinue any of these services. Please contact Sales for current renewal rates.
